Since its establishment, L & R Holdings has taken Malaysian pottery scene to a whole new globe dimension. The owner and chief executive, Mr Raja Servai, has built his company with sound principles, hard work and resilience in the face of economic challenges.

Observing the demand for quality pottery by foreigners Raja Servai initially sourced for Chinese dragon and egg pots to sell. Later Raja Servai began designing his own pots which he then took to local potters to manufacture.

Raja Servai opened his own factory in kepong, near Kuala Lumpur with a workforce of 30. He soon after ventured into the Australia, New Zealand and USA markets. After 25 years later, Raja Servai not only has a modern factory in Ipoh, but a warehouse near Kuala Selangor. L & R Holdings exports 300 to 450 containers of pottery every month, with an annual turnover to the tune of RM60 million.

L & R Holdings has his own packaging and freight forwarding companies to complement his export business. They are self-sufficient and capable of handling external customers as well. The L & R team introduces new colours and designs regularly, in order to maintain their position as the leading manufacturer and exporter of Malaysian pottery.

The company holds copyrights on all its products, ensuring the protection of its interests and the satisfaction of customers worldwide who can be sure that what they have purchased remains unique and is of undisputed quality.

L & R Holdings plans for the future include the pioneer concept of setting up modern garden centres like those found overseas. At these centres, customers would be able to find all the require to beautiful their gardens, from pots and plants to decorative items.

L & R Holdings has expanded his business to include garden furniture such as tables and benches.
